At their meeting on December 18, 2024, Council approved the 2025 Middlesex Centre Municipal Budget.
- The 2025 budget totals $78.87 million - $49.32 million for operating expenses and 29.55 million for capital (infrastructure) projects.
- The resulting tax rate increase is 4.27%, or $114 per year for an average residential home with an assessed value of $400,000.
The budget supports Middlesex Centre’s long-term financial sustainability. It responds to inflation, reduced building activities, and other financial pressures, addresses the concerns raised in the budget survey, and focuses on needed infrastructure construction and repair. There are no service level cuts, and good asset and reserve fund management have been prioritized.
The budget highlights below provide an overview of the operating and capital expenses.
