Fall 2022 Recreation Programs

The Municipality of Middlesex Centre is pleased to start offering Yoga and Zumba programs. Registration for the 2022 fall session will open August 2 and close on September 9. 

 

How to Register

Registration Dates

Registration begins: August 2, 2022 at 8:30am

Register early!

  • Registration is limited to 25 people and will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Courses will be cancelled 5 days before the program start date if registration numbers do not meet the minimums required to run the course.
  • Please register by September 9, 2022 at 4:30pm to avoid disappointment.
Forms & Fees

Please complete the registration form at the bottom of this page (download PDF).

  • Your completed form can be dropped off at the Komoka Wellness Centre or emailed to customer service. You can then call in your payment during registration hours.
  • Alternatively, you can register and pay in person at the Komoka Wellness Centre during registration hours. Printed copies of the registration form will be available.

Fee payment is due at the time of registration. Accepted methods of payment are Visa or Mastercard, cash or debit. If paying over the phone, only credit card payments can be accepted.

Registration Hours at the Komoka Wellness Centre:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am – 7:00 pm
  • Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Online registration will launch in January 2023!

Refunds & Cancellations

Refund Information

  • The program is cancelled by the Municipality of Middlesex Centre: full refund or credit.
  • Withdrawal from a program at least 14 days before the start of the program: credit on your account for the full amount of the program fee or a full refund. 
  • Withdrawal from a program less than 14 days before the start of the program: credit on your account for the full amount of the program fee.
  • Withdrawal from a program due to medical reasons after the start of the program: prorated refund will be issued only with a doctor's note being provided before the end of the program.
  • For withdrawal requests made after the first class up until the start of the third class, you will be credited a prorated balance of the program. A $10 administrative fee applies. Credits can remain on your account for any future use towards programs or services. 
  • No daily refunds will be granted for missed classes.

Session 1 (September & October)

Yoga – Tuesday Nights

This beginner class will introduce yoga poses with breathe work for a full body, mind and breathing experience. Yoga poses involve your entire body including going from floor to standing, but yoga is about you; you do what is best for your body as your instructor is there to guide you. Each class is followed by a relaxing cool down. Please bring a yoga mat to class. This is an hour long introductory class led by an instructor. Fun for everyone and all fitness levels; for ages 14+.

  • Time: 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
  • Session 1 Tuesday Dates: September 13, September 20, October 4, October 11, October 18, October 25
  • Cost: $48 plus tax for session (6 classes)
Chair Yoga – Wednesday Mornings

This beginner class will introduce participants to yoga postures and breathing exercises using the support of a chair. Chair Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of yoga. This class is perfect for participants who want to experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up and down from the floor. Benefits include increased strength, mobility, balance, and flexibility, along with improved circulation and cognition. This is a 45 minute introductory class led by an instructor. Fun for everyone and all fitness levels; for ages 14+.

  • Time: 9:30 am – 10:15 am
  • Session 1 Wednesday Dates: September 14, September 21, October 5, October 12, October 19, October 26

The routines feature aerobic, fitness interval training with fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body with easy to follow dance steps. This fun, Latin-inspired class has a party-like atmosphere and includes merengue, salsa, mambo, belly dance, tango, and more. A safe, easy and effective total body workout that's good for your mind, body, and soul. This is an hour long introductory class led by an instructor. Fun for everyone and all fitness levels; for ages 14+.

This fun, Latin-inspired class has a party-like atmosphere and includes merengue, salsa, mambo, belly dance, tango, and more. A safe, easy and effective total body workout that's good for your mind, body, and soul. This is an hour long introductory class led by an instructor. Fun for everyone and all fitness levels; for ages 14+.

Fitness Programs - YMCA of Southwestern Ontario at the Komoka Wellness Centre

The YMCA of Southwestern Ontario offers health and fitness programs at the Komoka Wellness Centre. Please visit their website for full program details, including information on youth camps. 

The Community Walking Track at the Wellness Centre is open to non-YMCA-members free of charge Monday to Friday from 11am to 1pm. Please contact the YMCA at 519-601-7033 to book your spot.

Ilderton Youth Centre - BGC of London

The Ilderton Youth Centre opened in the Spring of 2022, with programming offered by the BGC London.
