At their meeting on January 15, Council approved funding for the 2025 Council Grants Program.
This year, the program received applications totaling more than $48,000, exceeding the $20,000 available. We thank all of the many worthy programs that applied a grant this year.
The organizations receiving funding are:
- Camp Kee-Mo-Kee for Archery Programming
- Del-Ko-Brydge Community for Canada Day Celebrations (taking place in Delaware in 2024)
- Ilderton & Area Business Association for Christmas Lights for the village
- Middlesex Centre Archives for cost of digitizing and rehousing the McLean collection (Lobo Township) and for Special Events
- Optimist Club of Bryanston-Birr for Canada Day Celebrations
- Optimist Club of Ilderton for Roadside Canada Flags in the Village of Ilderton
- Optimist Club of Komoka-Kilworth for Special Events
- Poplar Hill and District Lions Club for the Trees Middlesex Centre Program
- Poplar Hill Picnic for the Annual Poplar Hill Picnic
- Tri-County Heritage Club for the Annual Heritage & Antique Show
The Ilderton Agricultural Society and a scholarship at Medway High School also receive funding through the Council Grants program.
Council also approved funds from the Delaware Hydro Reserve for the Delaware Lioness for Flower Baskets for the village.
