Hours of Operation - Family Day
The municipal office will be closed Monday, Feb. 17, 2024, for the Family Day holiday.
The Komoka Wellness Centre will be open 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and the Ilderton Arena will be open 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Note that normally scheduled shinny and skating are cancelled on Family Day.
There is no change to waste and recycling collection.
Recreation Programs
Please note that recreation programs will not run on Family Day, February 17.
Free Public Skating
Over Family Day weekend we have free public skating available:
- Saturday, 1:00 to 1:50 pm - Komoka Wellness Centre
- Sunday, 12:30 to 1:20 pm - Ilderton Arena
- Family Day - Monday, 1:00 to 2:50 pm - Ilderton Arena and Komoka Wellness Centre
- These skates are generously sponsored by Optimist Club of Komoka-Kilworth, Saratoga Homes Ltd., Riverstone by Sifton and Bonnie Baker Hodgins - Broker, Sutton Group - Select Realty Inc.
Please note:
- All participants must wear skates and a CSA approved helmet.
- Pucks, hockey sticks or equipment on the ice surface is prohibited.
- Normally scheduled skating and shinny are cancelled on Family Day.
Other Family Day Events at the Komoka Wellness Centre
- The Komoka Library is open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with Family Storytime at 10:30 am, followed by an EarlyON program at 11:00 am.
- The Middlesex YMCA has free community events starting with Glow in the Dark Group Groove fitness class (13+) at 9:15 am, followed by a Glow in the Dark Family Dance Party (all ages) from 10:15 to 11:15 am, and Family Open Gym from 10:15 am to 1:15 pm.
- The Komoka Kings are hosting a Family Day home game at the Komoka Wellness Centre starting at 1:15 pm. All kids will receive FREE admission, there will be prizes to be won, and it will be a Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Spotlight Game on 519 Sports Online!
And just down the street - Camp Kee-Mo-Kee is hosting a Family Day open house from 12:30 - 3:00 pm. No registration required.
