Jan 6, 2025, Komoka - MPP Steve Pinsonneault visited the Komoka Wellness Centre today to announce $1.4 million in funding from the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund (OMPF) for Middlesex Centre in 2025.
Middlesex Centre receives OMPF funding annually and allocates it as part of the municipal operating budget. The 2025 funding is $213,100 higher than that received in 2024 (2024: $1.19 million).
"We thank the Province for the ongoing financial support offered through the OMPF," said Mayor Aina DeViet. "Having reliable funding for operating expenses helps to keep municipal property tax rates stable."
The OMPF is the province’s main general assistance grant to municipalities, and primarily supports small, northern and rural municipalities. This year, the OMPF is providing a total of $550 million in funding to 390 municipalities.
