The Municipality of Middlesex Centre is looking at updating its Community Improvement Plan (CIP).
What is a Community Improvement Plan?
A CIP is a tool that allows a municipality to direct funds and implement policy initiatives within a defined area to encourage revitalization initiatives and stimulate development and redevelopment.
What type of updates will we be exploring?
The updates will be focused on exploring additional economic development opportunities and could include incentives like Tax Increment Equivalent Grants and other grants to support the development or redevelopment of employment lands throughout the municipality.
We will also be exploring opportunities to support the development of Affordable Housing and Additional Residential Units.

A draft of the revised CIP will be made available online and will be presented at a future public meeting before Council.
