Delaware Community Centre Parking Lot Improvements

About the Project

This project will see repairs and upgrades to the lower/back parking lot at the Delaware Community Centre. The project plans include:

• Old asphalt removed, new drainage installed and new asphalt laid
• New access gates to lower parking lot
• New parking lot lines applied
• New concrete pad for garbage dumpster
• New pickleball court lines and new pickleball posts nets installed

SCHEDULE

Note this schedule may be affected by weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

• Effective Sunday, June 23, the parking lot will be closed for three weeks
• Contractors will be mobilizing on-site on Monday, June 24, to begin milling of the old asphalt
• Tentative reopening is July 12. Lot will be re-opened soon if the work is completed early.

Funding

• This project is funded through the Middlesex Centre capital budget. Projected costs are $158,500 for the new asphalt and sport court
  and $36,200 for the security gate and installation. Information about Middlesex Centre's capital projects can be found on our Open Budget site.
