Public Notice – Middlesex Centre Official Plan Review
pursuant to Section 26 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended
Middlesex Centre’s revised Official Plan will guide our community’s growth and helps to ensure that future development will meet the needs of the community. The plan includes policies related to growth management, infrastructure, economic diversification, and natural heritage and hazards.
A public meeting is planned to present the revised Middlesex Centre Official Plan before it is presented to Council for adoption.
What is an Official Plan?
An Official Plan is a legal document containing goals, objectives and policies to guide land use, development and growth in a municipality. Please Note:
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of Middlesex Centre Council to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Middlesex Centre before the proposed official plan is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Middlesex Centre before the proposed official plan is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
