Voting in the 2025 Provincial Election

Election day is February 27, 2025. 

The information below is from Elections Ontario, the agency that runs provincial elections.

Confirm your Information on the Voters List

Canadian citizens residing in Ontario who will be 18 years of age or older on election day are eligible to vote.

To make voting faster and easier, voters are encouraged to confirm, update, or add their information to the Register at RegisterToVoteON.ca,  Registered voters will be mailed a voter information card with information on when, where, and how to vote.

Voter information cards will be in the mail from February 17 to 22.

How to Vote

There are many ways to vote in the election, including by mail, in advance polls and on election day.

Important Dates for Voting
  • By February 17 - Confirm, update or add your voter information to the Register to receive a voter information card in the mail. 
  • By February 21 at 6 PM - Apply to vote by mail. Elections Ontario must receive your completed voting kit by February 27 at 6 PM to be counted.
  • February 17 to 22 - Voter information cards will be in the mail.
  • January 30 to February 26 at 6 PM - Vote in-person at your local election office. Visit voterinformationservice.elections.on.ca to find your local election office.
  • February 20 to 22 – Vote at an advance voting location. Visit voterinformationservice.elections.on.ca for specific times and locations.
  • February 20 to 27 – If you require assistive voting technology: You can use assistive voting technology at the designated advance voting location from February 20 to 22, and at your local election office from February 20 to 26. You can also contact your local election office to make an appointment to use assistive voting technology on election day, February 27. 
  • February 27 – Vote at your assigned voting location on election day from 9 AM to 9 PM (Eastern Time). Visit voterinformationservice.elections.on.ca for your assigned voting location.
