Tax bills are heading out this week by email and post.
Middlesex Centre issues two property tax bills a year - an interim bill in February and a final bill in August.
The interim bill is based on 50% of the previous year's taxes. It is split into two instalments. The first instalment is due February 29, 2024. There are many payment options available. Whichever way you choose to pay, please ensure you leave enough time for your payment to arrive at the office before the due date to avoid late penalties.
Please note that the municipal office is currently located at the Komoka Wellness Centre due to renovations. During the renovation, you can pay in-person at the Komoka Wellness Centre on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays.
In-person payments can be made by cash, cheque or debit. A secure drop-box is available at the Komoka Wellness Centre, located outside of the main doors by the lobby (library drop-box). Please do not put cash payments in the drop-box. For mail, please continue to use our Coldstream address, as our mail is being forwarded: Municipality of Middlesex Centre, 10227 Ilderton Rd, Ilderton, ON, N0M 2A0.
If you don't receive your tax bill please contact the municipal office. Not receiving a bill does not relieve you of any penalty charges that might arise from late payment.
Note that if you pay by pre-authorized payment you will still receive a tax statement for your records.
