Pursuant to Sections 17 and 21 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended
The Municipality of Middlesex Centre is holding a public meeting to consider a proposed housekeeping amendment to the municipality’s Official Plan.
The purpose of the proposed municipality-initiated housekeeping amendment is to update Official Plan policies as a result of recent legislative changes to the Planning Act through the Supporting People and Supporting Businesses Act, 2021, the Supporting Recovery and Competitiveness Act, 2021, and the More Homes for Everyone Act, 2022.
The effect of this amendment is to implement and update complete application requirements for Official Plan amendments, zoning by-law amendments, site plan approval, approval of plans of subdivision (including condominiums), and consents. It is also to add policy direction as it relates to delegated approvals for minor zoning by-law amendments and the cancellation of a consent.
The amendment documents can be reviewed on the municipal website or contact the office for a hard copy.
